Ala al Din grew up in one of the villages on the outskirts of the Damascus Ghouta, where he learned to read and write in a room attached to the village mosque. Then he left his home to go to Damascus to continue his education, many years later he is nicknamed Ibn al Nafis and became one of the best doctors in history.
